Public Private Partnership Projects
The public-private partnership projects acts as a supplement, utilizing the private sector’s experience, experts, and connection with local community in the Official Development Assistance (ODA) sector. The Incheon Strategy’s public private partnership also devotes to endorse the capacity building of DPOs and related offices to carry out international cooperation projects and widen the international cooperation in disability sector by holding grants, facilitating workshops and forums. The secretariat expects the partnership to promote the implementation of the Incheon Strategy and the goals and targets of the MRR Fund.
Online Lecture for on International Cooperation in the Field of Disability
Background
The Secretariat
produced a new online course titled 'International Efforts to
Realize the Rights of Persons with Disabilities'. The lecture aims
to provide education on various global efforts and international
cooperation to realize the rights of persons with disabilities.
Activities
Through this
course, participants will be able to learn about world-wide efforts,
action plans, and projects in the International Cooperation in the
Field of Disability.
The course is consisted of 3 separate parts: ▲ World-wide
efforts to realize the rights of persons with disabilities (Lecture
1) ▲ Korea's efforts to realize the rights of persons with
disabilities (Lecture 2) ▲ International Cooperation projects to
realize the rights of persons with disabilities (Lecture 3). The
course is provided in Korean and Korean sign language and is
available on KODDI's E-learning Centre and Youtube page.

Make the Right Real (MRR) Fund Grant
Background
To activate the
public-private partnership in the means of effective implementation
of the Incheon strategy, the secretariat holds grant projects since
2015. A Discretely composed judging committee made their selection
considering the compliance and necessity regarding the Incheon
strategy, performance capability, and reasonable compilation of
budgets, etc.
Activities
The selected
organizations in 2015 were Korea Parents’ Network for People with
Disability (KPNPD) (hosted a workshop) and DPI Korea (hosted a
forum), in 2016 were Korean Society for Rehabilitation of Person
with Disabilities (hosted a conference), DPI Korea (hosted a forum),
Universal Progress Independent Living Centre of Mongolia
(implemented a capacity building program). In addition, in 2017, RI
Korea held a Side Event for CSO Working Group’s midpoint review of
Incheon Strategy during the ‘High-Level Intergovernmental Meeting on
the Midpoint Review of the Asian and Pacific Decade of Persons with
Disabilities, 2013-2022.’ In 2018, DPI and KDF were selected as
project implementing organizations. DPI held the ‘Incheon Strategy
Asia-Pacific international seminar for Youth with disabilities’ and
KDF held the ‘International Conference on Disability-Inclusive SDGs
and Incheon Strategy.’ Since 2020, the Fund Grant targeted the
non-profit and non-governmental organizations in the Asia-Pacific
region (outside of Korea). In 2020, the final grantees were NFDN
Gandaki Province Office (Campaign for disability inclusive national
census) from Nepal and Saksham (Development of online training
materials for persons with visual impairments) from India. In 2021,
there were 4 final grantees from 4 different countries:
YPSA(Prioritizing Web Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities
living in Bangladesh) from Bangladesh, ADWLE(Building gender and
legal rights knowledge among organisations for disabled persons)
from Lao PDR, NDFN(Nepali Sign Language (NSL) Interpreting
Profession Development Training) from Nepal, and
SLCFD(Self-Employment training for enhancing the Deaf individuals’
self-independences in the society) from Sri Lanka. In 2022, two CSOs have been selected which are Cricket Association of the Blind, Nepal (Empowering girsl with visual disabilities through the game of cricket), and Joy Foundation, Pakistan (Inclusive education through inclusive education centers).In 2023, there were 4grantees from 3 different countries: MJF (Enhancing Capacity of OPDs) from Bangladesh, CN (Building Access to Education for Early Age Children with Disabilities Project) from Nepal, CWSN (Empowering the Persons with Disabilities in Tanahun District of Gandaki Provice, Nepal) from Nepal, and LCDPFI (Enabling and Empowering Persons with Disabilities through Inclusive Employment and Livelihoods) from the Philippines.

International Forum on A Decade of Incheon Strategy
Background
Internatioanl
Forum on A Decade of Incheon Strategy has been held to lead the
international discussion on its termination in 2022 and future
direction of Incehon Strategy, which is the world’s first regional
disability-inclusive development goals to realize the rights of
persons with disabilities in Asia and the Pacific region, hoted by
the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea International Cooperation
Agency and KODDI.
Activities This Forum has been aired through Youtube channel on 16th November 2021, and had 17 countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Canada and Egypt with around 90 organizations as participants. The theme of the forum is ‘A Decade of Incheon Strategy: Past and Future’ with 1st session about UNESCAP-KODDI Project, 2nd session about Global Partnership on MRR Fund Project and 3rd session about Towards Post-Incheon Strategy as a panel discussion time. Through this, close partners of KODDI such as UNESCAP, Gross National Happiness Commission of Bhutan and Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation of Fiji have shared of its project details and achievement. Furthermore, achievement of Incheon Strategy and its evaluation research have been shared and discussed.

Meeting for the Promotion of International Cooperation for Incheon Strategy
Background
The Ministry of
Health and Welfare established a consortium for the implementation
of Incheon Strategy (Later, renamed as a consortium for the
promotion of international cooperation for Incheon Strategy). The
secretariat came to manage this consortium by providing the related
materials, holding meetings, etc. In 2013, the meetings for the
implementation of Incheon Strategy were held two times, and since
2014 when it was renamed, the meetings were held for 13 times so far
until 2019, under the current name of Meeting for the Promotion of
International Cooperation for Incheon Strategy.
Activities This meeting provides
opportunities to share the current status of the various
organizations in terms of implementing the international cooperation
projects in the field of disability as well as the Incheon Strategy
and to maximize the synergies between public and private
institutions.
In 2020, the 14th meeting was held to share the
result of the UN ESCAP project; titled ‘Towards the Incheon Strategy
to Ensure the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the
Pacific’.
In the following 15th meeting, the outcome and
output of projects under the Incheon Strategy by various entities
were shared.
